Analysis on the causes of leakage failure of MTU diesel generator set

When the generator set starts or rolls, the airflow sound of "hiss" is announced, which indicates that the cylinder leaks when it is compressed. The main air leakage faults are:

1. The copper gasket of the injector hole seal in the diesel generator set is damaged, deformed, the pressure plate is loose, and the sealing plane of the cylinder head hole has debris, such as carbon accumulation, forming a lax seal.

2. Diesel generator cylinder head gasket breaks through to form air leakage, and smoke emerges from the damaged port. After punching the pad, the cause should be identified, such as whether the cylinder head bolt is loose, whether the cylinder liner protruding out of the body plane is normal and uniform if the protruding amount of the cylinder liner is not uniform, it should be arranged in the body according to the number of protruding amount, or matching. Together in the repair of leakage, we should pay attention to the body and cylinder head sealing plane to clean, to remove the accumulation of carbon, scale and other debris on the surface, and then use fine gauze to clean, tighten the cylinder head bolt according to the tightening principle.

3. When there is a leakage sound of "hiss" in the exhaust pipe, the low speed is more obvious, which may be the inlet and exhaust valve leakage. Check the reasons for the leakage of the diesel generator set: Such as valve, valve seat on the sealing cone ablation, ring is too wide, cone sticky foreign matter form seal is not strict, valve guide rod carbon accumulation is too much, valve rod bite catheter, catheter cracking, severe wear of the catheter, valve spring cracking, valve spring spring is too weak, valve clearance is too small may use valve leakage.
