When the mains failure is not too frequent and the power supply time is not long, the user can use the generator set whose power is calibrated as the standby unit. It should operate at an average of 80% power for no more than 200 hours per year, and at 100% power for no more than 25 hours per year.

3. Problems that should be paid attention to when matching generator sets and three-phase motors: three-phase AC induction motors are commonly used in mechanical engineering. Because of their starting characteristics, these motors are directly connected to the power supply system. If started directly on line, it will generate a surge current up to 6 times the rated current of the motor. After the soft start device is configured, the starting current is very stable and will not impact the generator set. When selecting the capacity of the generator set and three-phase motor, it is recommended to consider the safety factor 1.5, that is, 1.5 times the motor capacity (soft start mode is required).
