MTU diesel engine VE distribution pump does not supply oil what are the causes of failure

Taking VE distribution pump of 4BC2 diesel engine as an example, it is briefly introduced as follows: The injection pump installed in 4BC2 diesel engine is rotor distribution type. The structure is composed of a single distribution rotor, distribution sleeve and radial plunger, and oil regulating sleeve (also known as oil control valve) and other parts. When working, it supplies high pressure diesel to each cylinder of diesel engine in a fixed time and quantitative way by rotating distribution. Together with governor, oil pump and pressure control valve, it forms a diesel oil supply system with a certain pressure, so as to become a sealed whole. In addition, this distribution pump has no special lubrication device, only with the filtration of diesel oil lubrication and cooling related parts. 4BC2 diesel engine distribution pump does not supply oil failure reasons are as follows:


1. When the new pump is used, because the pump cavity is filled with anticorrosive agent, if the anticorrosive agent is solidified at this time, it is easy to make the plunger in the distribution pump and the precision parts such as the oil regulating sleeve stuck, resulting in no oil. Therefore, before use must be put clean anti-corrosion agent, and then from the oil inlet joint to fill diesel, rotation spline shaft sleeve, according to the direction of diesel engine rotation, and constantly pull the speed control rocker arm, so that the plunger, oil regulating sleeve, distribution rotor and other precision parts of the surface to get lubrication, until the action is flexible, the oil out of the oil joint.


2. The inlet filter at the inlet joint of the distribution pump is blocked.


3. The hexagonal bolt on the distribution rotor is affected by the impact of high pressure oil, coupled with the opposite direction of rotation and thread, which is easy to loosen the bolt and leak oil, resulting in the distribution pump does not supply oil. This leak is usually not visible on external inspection, so this factor should be taken into account when the rest of the pump is working and still not pumping. At this time, the sliding plate type oil pump body should be removed, the eccentric ring and slide plate should be removed, and the hex socket bolt should be tightened.


4. The wear between the distribution rotor and the sleeve is large, which leads to the reduction of oil pressure and the reduction of oil supply to the oil pump. At this time, if the effect of increasing the oil supply is still not ideal, the new parts should be replaced in time.


5.The use of diesel is not clean, resulting in the blockage of the oil circuit, the distribution of the rotor and sleeve stuck bite to death.


6. Sliding vane type oil pump slide wear or broken. A simple way to determine whether the two-stage low pressure sliding vane oil pump in the distribution pump works properly in a diesel engine is to remove the deflating screw from the distribution pump housing and connect it with a pressure gauge. When the diesel engine is on the small throttle (running at around lOOr/min), the pressure gauge reading shall not be lower than 0.15MPa. Otherwise, it means that the oil pump is not working normally. When checking the oil pump pressure on the diesel engine, the phenomenon that the low speed is low and the high speed is normal sometimes occurs. The reason is that the plunger on the cover of the sliding vane oil pump and the pressure control reading is stuck in the position of opening the oil hole. At this time, the pressure is often lower than 0.08MPa, and the starting oil of the oil pump is significantly reduced, making it difficult to start. At high speed, the pressure is normal, because the plunger stuck position will not exceed the position of opening the drain hole under normal conditions, so it has little influence on the oil transfer pressure of the oil pump at the highest idling speed.


7. Air enters the pump, or the inlet pipe joints of the diesel supply system and the inlet screw sleeve of the oil pump are loose, resulting in air intake.


8. Wear or oil leakage of the oil regulating sleeve can also easily lead to greatly reduced oil supply.


9.Because the diesel engine body temperature is too high, so that the distribution pump plunger can not move freely, or even stuck, resulting in the distribution pump oil supply is not normal also occurs.


10. Spline shaft is broken. Spline shaft in the distribution pump function, mainly drive high - pressure pump. And the circular groove in the middle of the spline, it plays a role of insurance. The common cause of spline shaft fracture is the distribution rotor and sleeve bite caused by shaft fracture. In addition, if the distribution pump is installed on the diesel engine without tightening the fixing screw, it will be broken because of the different center of the drive shaft and the spline shaft.


11. The inner CAM ring is installed in reverse. The inner CAM ring is mounted in the distribution pump housing, and the inner ring has four identical curve lifts 90° apart. The distribution rotor drives the plunger, the roller seat and the column to rotate in the middle. The direction of the arrow marked on the end surface indicates the direction of each group of curves from high convex point to low convex point. This direction must be the same as the rotation direction of the distribution rotor, otherwise it will lead to the distribution pump does not supply oil.
