After the installation of diesel generator, before it is put into normal operation, diesel should be correctly selected and corresponding storage methods should be paid attention to.

1. Diesel oil viscosity is the main index affecting the degree of atomization. It shows that the diesel fuel is sparse and difficult to flow. The viscosity is large, the oil drops are large when spraying, the injection distance is long, but the dispersion is poor, the mixed gas is not uniform, the diesel generator is easy to smoke when working, and the fuel consumption is increased. As the temperature decreases, the viscosity increases. The opposite is true.

2.The main characteristics of diesel. The low temperature spontaneous combustion temperature of diesel generator is called diesel spontaneous combustion temperature. The spontaneous combustion performance of diesel generator is expressed as hexadecane number. The higher the cetane number, the lower the spontaneous combustion temperature and the easier it is to ignite. But high or low cetane numbers are harmful to humans. High cetane number, easy to ignite, moderate work, but poor stability, high fuel consumption rate, low cetane number, diesel generator work rough. General diesel generator use diesel decane value of 30-60.

3. The liquidity of diesel oil is mainly expressed by freezing point. The freezing point is the temperature at which diesel oil loses its fluidity. If the temperature of diesel is lower than the freezing point, the diesel will not flow, the oil supply will be interrupted, and the diesel generator will not be able to operate normally. Therefore, the freezing point is the main basis for choosing diesel oil.

4. Choose diesel. Diesel engines should be selected according to the speed, use of the region and season of diesel. Generally speaking, the diesel generator with rated speed above 1000R /min should choose light diesel. No. 10 light diesel is suitable for high-speed diesel generator with preheating equipment. No. 0 light diesel is suitable for areas with low temperature higher than 4℃; -10 light diesel is suitable for areas with low temperature above -5℃; -20 light diesel is suitable for areas where the temperature is lower than -14℃; -35 light diesel is suitable for areas with low temperature above -29℃, and light diesel is suitable for areas with low temperature above 44℃. For heavy oil, the rated speed of 500-1000R /min diesel generator choose 10 level, rated speed of 300-700R /min diesel generator choose 20 level, rated speed of 300-700R /min diesel generator choose 30 level.

5. Diesel specifications. Our diesel is divided into light diesel and heavy diesel. Light oil has good volatility, and is divided into three grades according to quality: excellent, first class and qualified. Each grade is divided into 10, 0, -10, -20, -35, -50 according to its freezing point, to indicate the freezing point temperature. Heavy diesel oil has poor volatility, high density and viscosity, and many impurities. According to the different viscosity, heavy diesel is divided into 10, 20, 30. The greater the quantity, the greater the viscosity.
