1) When the unit equipment, the radiator should be as close to the exhaust vent as possible to prevent the recirculation of hot air. If there is no air channel, the distance between the heat sink and the exhaust vent is not more than 150 mm. If the equipment room cannot meet the preceding requirements, you are advised to use an air channel.

2) The area of the exhaust outlet should be 1.5 times of the exhaust area of the radiator. Under normal circumstances, it is necessary to cooperate with radiator equipment air duct and exhaust shutter.

3) The twists and turns of the air duct should pass through the appropriate elbow, and the pipe passing length should also increase the standard to reduce the exhaust back pressure. Long distance duct silencers should be specially designed according to the characteristics of the building.

4) The inlet and exhaust vents of buildings are generally equipped with shutters and grids. The useful ventilation area of shutters and grids should be considered when calculating the tuyere standards.

5) Unit combustion and cooling requires a lot of air, which is often ignored. It is suggested that the total area of the air inlet should be at least twice the cooling area of the unit. All the air inlet should be able to prevent rainwater from entering. In cold climates, the machine room of spare and infrequently operated generating sets shall be insulated with inlet and exhaust vents and equipped with adjustable shutters, which can be closed when the set is not in operation.

Ventilation requirements

1) The air door or shutter plays the effect of isolating the machine room from the surrounding environment, and the operation of opening and closing should be controlled by the working condition of the unit.

2) The movable damper of equipment in the machine room in the cold area should allow the recirculation of air flow in the machine room, so as to heat the machine room and improve the efficiency of the unit.
