The causes and treatment methods of MTU diesel generator not generating power

1. The connection head between the stator winding and the power distribution equipment of the generator has sludge or oxide, the connection screw is loose, the connection wire is broken, and the stator winding is broken. Treatment: Use multimeter or test light method to find out the broken line. Check the connection status and touch status of each connection screw.

2. The speed is too low. Treatment: Measure the speed and make it adhere to the rated value.

3. The excitation circuit is broken or not properly touched. Treatment: find out the broken line with a multimeter, weld the broken line from the beginning and wrap the insulation firmly.

4. The rectifier tube (including the rectifier diode and SCR) is damaged. Treatment: Replace the damaged components.

5. Wiring fault. Treatment: Check the correction according to the wiring diagram.

6. The winding wiring fault of exciter is reversed polarity. Treatment: Correct winding wiring, and according to its polarity with dry cells, batteries de novo magnetization.

7. Brush grip rust, brush can not slide up and down. Treatment: Use emery cloth to wipe the inside and outside of the brush grip, if damaged, should be replaced.

8. The brush is not in good touch with the slip ring or the brush pressure is not good. Treatment: clean the surface of the slip ring, polish the brush, make it conform to the surface of the slip ring, increase the pressure of the brush.

9. The prime mover is not rotating in the right direction. Treatment: change the rotation direction of the prime mover.

10. The direction of the exciter brush is not correct, the brush is damaged or the spring pressure is not good. Treatment: adjust the brush to the correct position, replace the brush, adjust the spring pressure.
