Cummins generator set sealing and inspection

The term of validity of ex-factory sealing of Cummins diesel generator is one year, especially if the diesel generator set purchased from the date of ex-factory exceeds the sealing period specified above, special attention should be paid to sealing inspection before the first use.

a.Wipe the anti-rust oil on the surface of some parts of the diesel engine of Cummins generator installed.

b.First pour hot water at about 80℃ into the generator set, and make it flow slowly, and heat for 6-10min.

c.Open the cover of the door on the body of cummins generator set and the fuel pump to see whether there is rust or other abnormal phenomena inside.

d.Slowly rotate the crankshaft of Cummins generator with artificial disk, observe the movement of crankshaft connecting rod and fuel pump camshaft and plunger, and there should be no stuck or inflexible phenomenon.

e.Operate the speed control handle to move back and forth several times from low speed to high speed, and observe the movement of rack and core sleeve without stuck phenomenon.

When the above - mentioned Cummins generator seal check is confirmed to be in good condition, the generator can be started. Otherwise, necessary maintenance should be done before it can be used.
