A brief analysis of the faults in Perkins diesel generator

Generator is a commonly used power generation equipment. Generally, large generators are used in factories and small generators are used in homes. Use a fault in the generator

1. Open the end cover of the oil filling port, adjust the diesel engine speed in the range of obvious and clear abnormal sound, and observe whether there is smoke at the oil filling port and whether the exhaust pipe takes up blue smoke. With a screw against the upper part of the cylinder without a valve push rod, such as the piston hit, you may hear the vibration of the knock sound like a small hammer on the cement floor.

2. If the oil is broken by cylinder, the sound decreases or disappears significantly when the oil is broken to a certain cylinder, and the knocking sound can be heard when the oil supply is restored, which indicates that the piston knocking of the cylinder should be repaired in time.

3. If you find suspicious cylinder piston knocking, you can unload the cylinder injector, add a small amount of oil to the cylinder, turn the crankshaft for a few turns, and then start the diesel engine after installing the injector. If the knocking sound disappears or weakens, the knocking sound appears again after running for a while, you can confirm that the cylinder has the knocking cylinder.

4. If the sound of cylinder knocking only occurs when the cooler is started and running, and the sound disappears after the temperature of the diesel engine is normal, it can be used without maintenance temporarily and repaired at an appropriate time.

5. If the diesel engine low temperature sound is not clear, when the temperature rises, idle operation has a "quack" sound, and accompanied by body jitter, and the higher the temperature, the greater the sound, it indicates that the piston deformation or poor lubrication, should be repaired in time.

6.Due to poor lubrication of the cylinder, but also to find out the reasons for the failure of the lubrication system maintenance.

7. When removing the cylinder head and pulling out the piston for inspection, if it is found that the cylinder is seriously out of circle, strain, bending deformation of the connecting rod, too tight match between the piston pin and the connecting rod bushing, too small clearance between the connecting rod bearing bush and the connecting rod shaft neck, too much carbon on the top of the piston, the corresponding treatment or replacement repair should be carried out.
