Preparation before starting of Cummins diesel generator set

1) Clean the dust, water mark and rust attached to the diesel generator set and remove the oil and ash scale in the air filter;

2) fully check the whole device of the diesel generator set, the connection should be tightened, the operating mechanism should be flexible, and the crankshaft rotation should not be stuck;

3) Check whether the cooling system is filled with coolant and whether the pump is filled with suction water. Whether the pipeline is leaking or blocked (including air resistance);

4) Check the fuel stock in the fuel tank, open the fuel switch, loosen the vent bolt of the high-pressure oil pump, remove the air in the fuel pipeline, and tighten the vent bolt;

5) Check whether the oil level is between the two scale lines of the oil scale, and whether the fuel pump and governor have enough oil;

6) Check the reliability and flexibility of the governor lever and the rack connection of the oil pump, and also check whether there is enough oil;

7) Check whether all electrical circuits (including charging and starting circuits) are connected correctly and in good contact;

8) Check whether there is water leakage or oil leakage in the pipe joints of the diesel engine supply, lubrication and cooling systems;

9) All components in the control panel shall be complete, clean, without damage or loosening;

10) Disconnect the silicon rectifier and capacitor, remove the ground wire, and use a 500-volt megohm meter to measure the insulation resistance of the primary circuit and rotor windings to the ground, which should not be less than 3 megohm; otherwise, drying measures should be taken;

11) Check the wiring of the generator to the switch screen should be correct, negative plant through the double switch access control screen, should be isolated from the power grid (air break, should be in a short circuit position; The U, V and W ends of the generator are corresponding to the control panel busbar;)

12) Check whether the position of each switch on the control screen is normal, the main switch should be divided into the brake position, and the control screen with automatic pressure regulation should be placed in the manual position;

13) The pointer of instrument (except frequency meter) shall be zero;
