When the diesel generator is working, the fuel is burned in the cylinder and the exhaust gas is generated and discharged out of the machine. When the engine is running properly and the fuel is fully burned, the exhaust gas is mainly water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2), and the exhaust gas is generally light gray. When the fuel is not completely burned or the engine does not work properly, there will be hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon particles and other harmful substances in the exhaust gas, so that the color of the exhaust gas is white, black or blue. It can be seen that the color of engine exhaust can reflect fuel combustion status and engine technical status. Therefore, the car driver and car maintenance personnel can judge the technical state of the engine by the color of the engine exhaust.
First, exhaust black smoke
The black smoke in the exhaust is mainly carbon particles of incomplete combustion of fuel. Therefore, the excessive supply of fuel in the fuel supply system, the reduction of air in the intake system, the poor sealing of the combustion chamber composed of the cylinder block, the cylinder head and the piston, the poor quality of the injector injection and other factors will make the fuel combustion incomplete, so that the exhaust smoke. The main reasons for black smoke exhaust are as follows:
1. High pressure oil pump oil supply is too large or each cylinder oil supply is not uniform
2. Valve seal is not strict, resulting in air leakage, cylinder compression pressure is low
3. Air filter inlet obstruction, intake resistance is large, so that the intake volume is insufficient
4. The cylinder liner, piston and piston ring are badly worn
5. The fuel injector is not working well
6. Engine overload
7. The fuel advance Angle of the fuel injection pump is too small, and the combustion process is moved to the exhaust process
8. Gasoline electronic injection system control failure failure
The engine with black smoke can be checked and eliminated through high-pressure oil pump adjustment, injector injection test inspection, cylinder compression pressure measurement, inlet cleaning, oil supply advance Angle adjustment, gasoline electronic injection system fault diagnosis and other work.
Two, exhaust white smoke
The white smoke in the exhaust is mainly incomplete atomization and combustion of fuel particles or water vapor, therefore, any resulting in fuel can not be atomized or water into the cylinder will make the exhaust white smoke. The main reasons are as follows:
1. Low temperature and insufficient cylinder pressure, fuel atomization is not good, especially in the early stage of cold start exhaust white smoke
2. Cylinder liner damage, cooling water into the cylinder
3. The cylinder block is cracked and cooling water seeps into the cylinder
4. High water content in fuel oil
White smoke emitted by the exhaust during cold start and the disappearance of white smoke after engine heating should be regarded as normal. If the vehicle still emitted white smoke during normal operation, it is a fault. It should be checked and analyzed by observing whether the cooling water in the water tank is abnormal consumption, whether the cylinder works normally, whether the oil-water separator has too much water, etc., to eliminate the fault part
Three, exhaust blue smoke
The blue smoke in the exhaust is mainly the result of excessive oil entering the combustion chamber to participate in combustion. Therefore, any cause of oil into the combustion chamber will make the exhaust blue smoke. The main reasons are as follows:
1. Piston ring is broken
2. The oil return hole on the oil ring is blocked by carbon accumulation, and the oil scraping function is lost
3. The openings of the piston rings are twisted together, causing oil to flow through the openings
4. Piston ring wear or carbon trapped in the ring groove, lost sealing effect
5. The air ring is reversed up and down, and the oil is scraped into the cylinder to burn off
6. The piston ring is not elastic enough and the quality is not up to standard
7. Valve guide oil seal assembly or aging failure, loss of sealing effect
8. The piston and cylinder are badly worn
9. The amount of oil added is too much, so that the oil splash is too much, and the oil ring is too late to scrape the excess oil off the cylinder wall
Exhaust smoke blue smoke is bound to be accompanied by the fan wei xiao beer mast PI wu oil consumption increased, some drivers said "burning oil". Oil and fuel consumption ratio is generally 0.5% ~ 0. 8%, when oil consumption exceeds this value, there will be blue smoke in the exhaust. The smoke exhaust of the cooler is blue, but the oil consumption is normal, which is related to the fuel, and is regarded as normal.
