It not only increases the wear of the parts of the diesel generator set, but also increases the mechanical power loss due to the increase of the movement resistance of the parts, and the output power of the diesel generator set will be reduced.

(2) when the ambient atmospheric pressure is reduced, the temperature is increased and the relative humidity is increased, the dry air in the cylinder of the diesel engine will be reduced, and the power of the diesel engine will be reduced. Conversely, diesel engine power will increase.

(3) When the diesel generator set works at low temperature, the cooling water takes away a lot of heat energy in the cylinder, increasing its heat loss; When the mixture doesn't form and burn well, fuel consumption increases by 8 to 10 percent. After the fuel drops into the cylinder, it will wash the lubricating oil film on the cylinder wall and penetrate into the crankcase, increasing the wear of parts, diluting the lubricating oil in the oil pan, increasing fuel consumption and reducing power output.

(4) Some heated expansion parts due to the temperature is too low and did not expand to the size, thus affecting the whole machine performance, such as piston and cylinder clearance is too large, sealing is not good; Valve clearance is too large and subjected to the impact of rocker arm, etc., and makes the diesel generator difficult to start. When the diesel engine is working, the high temperature of the compressed gas is the necessary condition to ensure the fuel ignition. When the temperature of the cylinder, piston and other parts is reduced, the final temperature of the compression will drop, ignition delay and combustion conditions will deteriorate, resulting in incomplete fuel combustion, crude diesel generator work and exhaust smoke.
