MTU diesel generator maintenance cycle

★ Primary maintenance period is usually: every 200-250 hours /12 months

The external cleaning of the unit, including the external heat sink of the cooling tank;

Dust removal of terminal box of generator (electric ball);

The replacement of various filters;

Inspection and replacement of lubricating oil;

Cooling water inspection and replacement;

All kinds of transmission belt adjustment;

Electrical system inspection such as connector inspection and functional test (protection system and automation system);

Frequency check adjustment;

Voltage inspection and adjustment;

Battery electrolyte supplement;

Inspection of the unit's external connection (such as leakage and loose).

★ Secondary maintenance period is usually: every 1000 operating hours/every 24 months

Including all the service content of primary maintenance

Engine adjustment, such as valve clearance;

Diesel injector injection pressure inspection and adjustment;

Ignition Angle inspection and adjustment;

Oil pressure check and oil pressure gauge calibration;

Check the temperature of cooling water and correct the water temperature meter;

Charging generator to check the charging of the battery;

Fuel quality inspection;

Quality inspection of lubricating oil;

Quality inspection of cooling water.

★ Three-level maintenance period is usually: every 2000 operating hours

Including all service contents of primary and secondary maintenance

Adjustment of high pressure fuel pump such as oil supply;

Cooling water tank scale removal;

Removal of muffler dirt;

Transmission belt replacement;

Dry treatment of generator (electric ball) (for humid environment) cleaning of fuel tank base of unit;

The maintenance of the motor brush and bearing replacement;

Scale removal of cylinder cooling water jacket.
