The radiator of a diesel generator helps to dissipate heat. The radiator core is made of a row of copper tubes, the coolant flows in the radiator core copper tube, and the oil rented by the diesel generator circulates outside the tube; During the flow process, the high temperature oil is cooled by the cooling liquid to ensure a certain oil temperature.

When the radiator copper pipe breaks or the seal at both ends of the radiator core fails, the coolant may enter the diesel engine oil pan through the oil channel. When the generator is working, the oil pressure should be higher than that of the circulating water. Under the action of the pressure difference, the oil can enter the coolant through the crack of the copper pipe. At this time, there is oil in the generator water tank; When the diesel generator stops working, because the water level of the water tank is higher than the oil radiator, under the action of the pressure caused by the height difference, the cooling water will enter the oil pan of the diesel generator through the radiator pipe through the oil channel. It is necessary to determine whether the diesel generator radiator has oil.

When the radiator core copper pipe is damaged, it is necessary to check with compressed air. The two ends of the radiator core are sealed with iron plates, and a small hole is left at one end. After filling the copper pipe with water through the small hole, 7kg of compressed air is blown into the hole and kept for 5-10min. If water or gas comes out of the radiator oil outlet, it can be determined that the copper pipe of the radiator is damaged and needs to be replaced. Failure of the seal between the two ends of the radiator core and the radiator housing may also cause cooling water to enter the oil pan.
